Barbara Lynn McGlenn, known to all as Barb, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Washington, MO, on June 25, 2018, having reached the age of sixty-three years and twenty-four days. Barb was born in Highland, IL, on June 1, 1955, daughter of Moses Henry Franklin Land, known to all as Henry, and Hester Ruth Land nee Copling. On April 22, 1972, she was united in marriage to Ralph John McGlenn, known to all as John, and two children came to bless this union.

Barb is survived by her husband, John McGlenn of St. Clair, MO; by her daughter, Karen McGlenn and boyfriend, Carl, of St. Clair; by her son, Eric McGlenn and wife, Lyann, of St. Clair; by ten grandchildren which were her pride and joy, Johnny McGlenn, Jaden Mill and Carter Deppe all of St. Clair and Gavin, Hayden, Makayla and Sam McGlenn and Biley Thurman, Riley and Joley Ostendorf, all of St. Clair; by two brothers, Gary Land and wife, Becky, and Fred Land, both of St. Clair; by one sister, Arlene Manasco and husband, Wayne, of Union, MO; by aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hester Land.

Barb was a Christian and member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO. She had worked outside the home throughout her life and made friends wherever she worked. She had been employed at Hazel Inc. in Washington, MO for about sixteen years, at Vogelgesang's Mobil in St. Clair, MO for about ten years and at the St. Clair License office for about ten years, having retired about one year ago. Barb was an active, outgoing person that was very civic minded and loved the community. She was a Past President and member of the St. Clair Parks Board and was in her fourth term and current President of the St. Clair Board of Aldermen. She was currently serving as the liaison between the park board and the board of aldermen. She was also active with the St. Clair Chamber and had served on numerous committees for many of the events held in St. Clair and was always lending a helping hand to make these events a success. Since retiring from the license office she was happy to have more time to spend with her grandchildren, as they were truly her favorite hobby. She also enjoyed reading and was a great cook. Nothing made her happier than the time spent with her family and many wonderful memories have been created.

A devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend and civic leader, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
