Constance Lorraine Lehmann, known to all as Connie, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at her home on June 21, 2018, having reached the age of eighty-five years, four months and eight days. Connie was born in St. Louis, MO, on February 13, 1933, daughter of Everett Perry and Meta Perry nee Fleming. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have two children. On April 18, 1981, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Lehmann and their families were joined as one.
Connie is survived by her husband, Donald Lehmann of St. Clair, MO; by her daughter, Barbara Morris of Washington, MO; by her former daughter-in-law, Melissa Cox Hassler of St. Clair; by two step-daughters, Terri George and fiancÚ, Steve Olish, of Homer City, PA and Jill Quam and husband, Thom, of Salt Lake City, UT; by seven grandchildren, Ryan Hill and wife, Jill, and Brandon Hill, both of ST. Clair, Jack George and wife, Nicol, and Dylan George, both of the state of PA, Andrea Noll and husband, Jason, of Wentzville, MO, Mindy Brown of St. Clair and Rachael Cox of St. Clair; by one brother, Edward Perry and wife, Joan, of Ballwin, MO; by two sisters Gloria Panchot and Janet Kinkaid, both of St. Louis, MO; by eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Cox, Jr; by one brother, Henry Perry and by one sister, Carole Draper.
Connie was a Christian and long time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO. During her working years she was employed at Von Weise Gear in St. Clair, MO doing secretarial work and for about twelve years as a office manager at Birkman and Sumner Optical in Washington, MO. She and Don had also owned and managed Skylark Motel and restaurant for about eleven years. Connie was an outgoing person that loved people and enjoying life. She and Don had loved to dance and play cards with their friends, especially Pinochle. Fishing was another of her hobbies and after retirement, she enjoyed going on bus trips and visiting the casinos. She enjoyed listening to music, and had said "Old Time Rock and Roll by: Bob Seger was her favorite song. Many wonderful memories have been created with her family and will never be forgotten.
A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO with the Rev. John Rhoads officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Backpack Program.
