Christopher Michael Bemis, known to most as Chris, of House Springs, MO, departed this life in House Springs on June 2, 2018, having reached the age of forty-six years, ten months and fourteen days. Chris was born in Kirkwood, MO, on July 18, 1971, son of Gary Leroy Bemis and Martha Jean Bemis nee Christmas. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have two children.

Chris is survived by his children, Damon and Tea Bemis, both of St. Louis, MO; by his parents, Gary and Martha Bemis of St. Clair, MO; by his grandmother, Mary Alice Croghan of St. Louis; by two brothers, Shawn Bemis and wife, Autumn of St. Louis and Matthew Bemis and wife, Jennifer, of Union, MO; by aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Chris was a Christian having been raised in the Lutheran faith. After graduation from high school he had furthered his education and was a skilled heating and cooling technician. He had worked primarily with commercial contracting companies. Chris was a gifted artist with the ability to sketch. He had also made some beautiful wood carvings. He loved the outdoors and he enjoyed fishing and camping. He was especially passionate about fly fishing. Some of his fondest memories included the many family vacations camping trips they took. His children were truly his pride and joy and he was happiest when he was spending time with them.

A kind and loving father, son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, great-nephew, cousin, boyfriend and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
