Farine was born in St. Clair, MO, on September 22, 1925, daughter of Thomas Richard Armistead and Dora Kathryn Armistead nee Bay. On May 26, 1945, she was united in marriage to William Albert Svoboda and two children came to bless this union.

Farine is survived by her sons, William R. Svoboda and wife, Janice, of Chesterfield, MO and Gregory Svoboda and wife, Dena, of Sagamore Hills, OH; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Svoboda and wife, Jennifer, of Highland, IL, Sarah Svoboda of Columbus, OH and Rebecca Svoboda of Erie, PA; by three great-grandchildren, Riley and Logan McBride and Mackinzie Svoboda, all of Highland; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Farine was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Dora Armistead, and by her husband, William Svoboda.

Farine was a Christian and long time member of the First Baptist Church in Ellisville, MO. She was also a member of the Adult Bible Fellows at the church. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star and a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. For about ten years, she worked as a secretary for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in St. Louis, MO. For most of her life, she had made caring for her home and family her first priority in life and she never tired of this job. In her younger years, she had enjoyed sewing but her greatest joy always came from the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed boating on Table Rock Lake.

A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
