OBITUARY

Thompson Joseph Tweedy, Jr., known to all as Tom, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Washington, MO, on May 19, 2018, having reached the age of fifty-four years and twenty-two days. Tom was born in St. Louis, MO, on April 27, 1964, son of Thompson Joseph Tweedy, Sr. and Carol Barbara Tweedy nee Collier. On April 29, 2000, he was united in marriage to Noel Jean Ammerman, known to all as Jay, and two daughters came to bless this union.

Tom is survived by his wife, Jay Tweedy of St. Clair, MO; by his daughters, Nisa Tweedy of St. Clair and Nina Tweedy and boyfriend, Taylor Crow, of St. Clair; by one granddaughter, Malia Crow of St. Clair; by his mother-in-law, Carolyn Miller of Union, MO; by one brother, Ray Tweedy and wife, Krista, of Gerald, MO; by one sister, Angie Collins and husband, Lance, of St. Clair; by two brothers-in-law, Denny Ammerman and wife, Tonya, of St. Clair and Warren Stokes and wife, Monica, of the state of Illinois; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom, Jr. and Carol Tweedy.

Tom was a Christian and long time member of the St. Clair United Methodist Church in St. Clair, MO. He was a welder by trade and member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers, District 9, Local 41 of St. Louis, MO. He had been employed at Labarge Products in St. Louis, MO, for about ten years and then at Fulton Iron in St. Louis, MO for about five years. Tom was an outdoorsman at heart and his passion was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his many friends. Spending time with his children gave him great joy and his little granddaughter was his pride and joy.

A kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the St. Clair United Methodist Church in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. John Hampton, Jr. officiating. Private committal will take place at a later date. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
