Stacey Mae Lackey of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on May 5, 2018, having reached the age of forty-eight years, three months and ten days. Stacey was born in St. Louis, MO, on Janaury 25, 1970, daughter of Michael Politte, Sr. and Connie rose Politte nee Fowler. As a young woman she was blessed to have a daughter. In 1988 she began sharing her life with Walter Lackey and they were united in marriage on June 19, 1999. Two daughters were born of this union.
Stacey is survived by her husband, Walter Lackey of St. Clair, MO; by her daughters, Geneva Leath of Bourbon, MO, Carol Ann Hutchison and husband, Jacob, of Sullivan, MO and Heather Lackey and boyfriend, Brandon Davidson, of St. Clair; by her mother, Connie Whittrock of St. Clair; by her mother-in-law, Darlene Lackey Mertz of St. Clair; by one brother, Michael Politte Jr. of St. Clair; by one sister, Kimberly Dutkiewicz of Union, MO; by eight grandchildren, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Stacey was preceded in death by her father, Michael Politte, Sr.
Stacey was a Christian of the Baptist faith, believing in the Lord as her Savior. She had various jobs during her working years but was most recently employed at Coinco in Union, MO. She loved spending time outdoors and summers spent on the river with her family was always a lot of fun. Fishing was one of her favorite pastimes. Stacey also spent time doing crochet and coloring. Nothing made her happier than the time she spent with her grandchildren and each of them was special to her.
A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO with Rev. Ben Kingston officiation. A private committal will take place at a later date. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
