OBITUARY

Danny Lee Kelley of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO, on April 16, 2018, having reached the age of fifty-eight years, two months and twenty-three days. Danny was born in Washington, MO, on January 23, 1960, son of Lindell George Kelley and Betty Florence Kelley nee Williams. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have three children.

Danny is survived by his children, Shawn Kelley and wife, Cherry, of St. Clair, MO, Eric Kelley and wife, Sara, of St. Clair and Tresa Kelley and boyfriend, Lester, of St. Clair; by two brothers, Leonard G. Kelley, known to all as Bud, of the state of PA and James Kelley, known to all as Jay, of St. Clair; by his sister, Linda Ely, known to all as Kay, and husband, Tom, of Union, MO; by seven grandchildren, Dominic and Kasondra Seals of St. Clair, Drake, Chloe and Lacey Kelley of St. Clair and Jersey and Declan Kelley of St. Clair; by one aunt, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Lindell and Betty Kelley, and by two brothers, Billy C. Kelley, Sr. and Gary Kelley.

Danny was a Christian believing in the Lord as his Savior. He was employed as a trimmer for Shade Tree Service Company of Fenton, MO, having been with the company for over twenty years. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2 of St. Louis, MO. Danny was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 347 of St. Clair, MO and the VFW Auxiliary, Post 2482 of St. Clair, MO. An outdoorsman at heart, he loved hunting, fishing and having bonfires. He also loved to work on small engines and listen to bluegrass music. Danny cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren. The love they shared and memories they created will never be forgotten.

A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

VFW Auxiliary services were held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 20, 2018, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Interment was in Anaconda Community Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to VFW Auxiliary Post 2482 of St. Clair, MO.
