OBITUARY

Jeffrey Ray Goodwin of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Lonedell, MO, on March 30, 2018, having reached the age of thirty-eight years, four months and twenty-two days. Jeffrey was born in Hayti, MO, on November 8, 1979, son of Harold Ray Goodwin and Gladys Diann Goodwin nee Morgan, known to all as Diann. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have one son. On April 4, 2008 he was united in marriage to Charity Gonzalez.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Charity Goodwin of Cuba, MO; by his son, Jacob Goodwin of Portageville, MO; by his mother, Diann Morgan of St. Clair, MO; by his father, Harold Goodwin and wife, Sandy, of Hayti, MO; by his parents-in-law, Linda Colon of McAllen, TX and Tino Gonzalez of Mission, TX; by his sister, Debbie Hinson and husband, Bill, of St. Clair; by his brother-in-law, Spike Kamper of Lonedell, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his sister, Tamatha Kamper, known to all at Tammy.

Jeffrey was proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps, during the Afghanistan and Iraq War, entering on October 1, 1998, and receiving his discharge on December 20, 2004, after have attained the rank of PFC. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing. Hiking with Charity was his favorite pastime and they also enjoyed going on float trips. He had an interest in woodworking and enjoyed building things. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will live in their hearts forever.

A kind and loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services were held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
