Henry Herman Lenger, Jr. of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Clair on January 29, 2018, having reached the age of seventy-three years, one month and eleven days. Henry was born in Hermann, MO, on December 18, 1944, son of Henry Herman Lenger, Sr. and Irene Lenger nee Meyer. In 1969 he began sharing his life with Mary Carlyss Bailey and he loved her children as his own.

Henry is survived by his significant other, Mary Bailey of St. Clair, MO; by his Mary's children, Danny Bailey and wife, Diane, of Union, MO, Rhonda Ritter of Sullivan, MO and John Bailey, known to all as Bink, and wife, Sarah, of Washington, MO; by seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one niece, cousins and many friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry, Sr. and Irene Lenger; by one step-child, Diane Nugent; by his brother, Robert Lenger, and by two grandchildren, Kevin W. and Daniel E. Bailey.

Henry was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army, entering on September 15, 1964 and receiving his honorable discharge on September 7, 1967, having attained the rank of SP5. For a good portion of his working career he was employed by the City of Washington as a truck driver and equipment operator. He loved going to auctions and yard sales looking for farm equipment. Henry was especially fond of his Oliver, John Deere, International and Kubota tractors. What meant most to him was time spent with his family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live in their hearts.

A kind and loving companion, father figure, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
