OBITUARY

Kathie Ann Bielefeld of Lonedell, MO, departed this life at her home on January 28, 2018, having reached the age of sixty years, one month and five days. Kathie was born in St. Louis, MO, on December 23, 1957, daughter of Jackie Eugene Bielefeld and Cloey JoAnn Bielefeld nee Kavanaugh.

Kathie is survived by her father, Jack Bielefeld and companion, Marilyn Rothwell, of Lonedell, MO; by her sister, Karin Bielefeld of Lonedell; by one aunt, Carole Kavanaugh of Lake St. Louis, MO; by one uncle, William Kalar of Syracuse, NY, and by many cousins.

Kathie was preceded in death by her mother, Cloey Bielefeld; by her uncle, Elmer Kavanaugh,and by her aunt, Helen Kalar.

Kathie was a Christian and long time member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering, MO. She was a alumni of Lutheran Medical Center School of Nursing, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, as well as being an alumni of the University of Missouri in St. Louis, MO. Kathie had a compassion for helping people and had worked as a Registered Nurse in the critical care unit at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis for over twenty-seven years and more recently at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO for two years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making silk floral arrangements. Kathie had a keen interest in history, geology and genealogy and was a member of Ancestors. com. Kathie also had a fondness for dogs and cats and enjoyed the fellowship of her pets. The memories created spending time with her family and friends will forever live on in their hearts.

A kind and loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with rosary services at 5:00 PM. Funeral mass was held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 1, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering, MO with Father Bob Knight officiating. Interment was in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church cemetery.
