Jim was born in Possum Hollow, MO, on June 28, 1940, son of Matthew Hayden Lairmore and Martha Lairmore nee Phillips. On December 15, 1963, he was united in marriage to Myra Sue Bolinger and three children came to bless this union.

Jim is survived by two sons, James D. Lairmore and girlfriend, Gloria Delpidio, of St. Clair, MO, and William Lairmore and wife, Kelly, of Cahokia, IL; by his daughter, Darla Nordeck and husband, James, of Cuba, MO; by his granddaughter, Amanda Lairmore of Cahokia, IL; by one sister, Alti Wolf of Jefferson City, MO; by two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Martha Lairmore; by his wife, Myra Lairmore; by his brothers, Warren, Junior, Robert, Kenny, Donald and Roy Lairmore; and by two sisters, Marie Jefferies and Mary Ford.

Jim was a Christian of the Pentecostal faith, believing in the Lord as his Savior. As a young man he was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy. During his working career he was employed by Daimler Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, MO, as a line worker and proudly served the company for thirty-one and a half years. Jim was a fifty year Mason, having first been a member of the Paul Revere Lodge #330 A.F. & A.M. of St. Louis, MO, having been initiated October 8, 1965, passed January 28, 1966 and raised March, 25, 1966. Through lodge consolidations, he is currently a member of Gateway Lodge #40 of Creve Coeur, MO. He was a talented musician, playing most any stringed instrument. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many memories they created will forever live in their hearts.

A kind and devoted father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
