Gregg Allen Hardester of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at his home in St. Clair on December 18, 2017, having reached the age of sixty-two years, four months and twenty-seven days. Gregg was born in St. Louis, MO, on July 21, 1955, son of Roy Lee Hardester and Marie Agnes Hardester nee Church. Gregg is survived by his brother, Gary Hardester and wife, Karen, of St. Clair, MO; by his sisters, Sandra Mueller of Union, MO and Christina Church of St. Louis, MO; by his sister-in-law, Gale Hardester of St. Clair; by one aunt, Jackie Beckemeyer of Houston, TX by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Marie Hardester; by four brothers, Lee Hardester, David Hardester, Tom Hardester and Rickey Hardester; by one brother-in-law, Edward Mueller; by two nephews, Matthew Hardester and Sean Hardester; and by one niece, Amber Hardester.

Gregg was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. He was currently attending Virginia Mines Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. Gregg enjoyed collecting model cars and pocket knives. He also enjoyed going fishing, especially with his brothers and his best friend, Joe, who was like a brother. He faithfully read his bible and could quote any verse. What meant the world to him was time spent with his family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will live in their hearts forever.

A kind and loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor CJ Brandhorst officiating. Interment was in Prospect Cemetery in Lonedell ,MO. Memorials may be made to Prospect Cemetery or Virginia Mines Baptist Church.
