OBITUARY

Jody Wayne Metts of Lake St. Louis, MO, formerly St. Clair. MO, departed this life in Lake St. Louis on November 20, 2017, having reached the age of forty-four years, ten months and nine days. Jody was born in St. Louis, MO, on January 11, 1973, son of Ronald Dean Metts and Diane Sue Metts nee Brown, known to all as Susie. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have two children.

Jody is survived by his parents, Ron Metts and wife, Beth, of Stanton, MO, and Susie Brown and fiancé, Jeremy Alshire, of Grubville, MO; by his son, Jordan Metts and fiancée, Taylor, of High Ridge, MO; by his daughter, Taylor Metts and fiancé, Cody, of St. Clair, MO; by his granddaughter, Harper Metts of High Ridge; by his girlfriend, Amanda Elebracht of Lake St. Louis, MO; by his brother, Joshua Stevenson and fiancée, Jessie McDaniel, of St. Clair; by his sisters, Erica Hobson and husband, Richard, of St. Clair and Rhonda Messex and husband, Josh, of Union, MO; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

During his working career was a member of Laborer's Local 110 in St. Louis, MO, for over twenty years. He worked mainly through the union hall at various companies, including the Metropolitan Sewer District for four years, Bommarito Construction for two years and XL Contracting for over six years, all in St. Louis, MO. Jody was an outdoorsman at heart and loved to go camping and floating on the river. He was happiest when he was spending time with his family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live in their hearts.

A kind and loving son, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and loving remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services were held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Rob Prichard officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date at Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
