Charles Thomas Stahlman, known to all as Tom, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Clair on November 7, 2017, having reached the age of seventy-one years, ten months and seven days. Tom was born in Sullivan, MO, on December 30, 1945, son of Eugene Charles Stahlman, known to all as Gene, and Gwen Mary Stahlman nee Reed. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have three daughters.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Kristi Presley and husband, Tim, Kim Flora and husband, Dink, and Jennifer Duncan and husband, David, all of St. Clair, MO; by his grandchildren, Madelyn and Liam Duncan and Carson Flora, all of St. Clair; by his sister, Gloria Yoder and husband, Tom, of St. Clair; by his niece, Tyrona Rubin and husband, Tom, of St. Clair; by his great-nephew, Thomas Thiemann of St. Clair; by many cousins and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Gwen Stahlman.

Tom was a Christian and long time member of Green Mound Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, entering January 19, 1966 and receiving his honorable discharge on January 18, 1968. After his discharge from the military he returned home and for over twenty years was employed at Steel Weld in St. Clair as a draftsman and design engineer. He was honored to be a member of Easter Lodge 575 A.F. & A.M., having been initiated March 11, 1975, passed June 28, 1975 and raised September 27, 1975. Tom was truly an outdoorsman at heart and all his hobbies and interests were outdoors. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing but his true passion was hunting. Deer hunting camp was an annual event and he had a great hunting trip to Canada where he shot a bear. He often went to shooting ranges to practice. He enjoyed working on cars, four wheeling and riding motorcycles. Going boating was another hobby. Gathering family and friends for a fish fry was a favorite pastime. His daughters were his pride and joy and he cherished the time spent with all of his family, especially his grandchildren and great-nephew.

A devoted and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Herman McMullin officiating.
