Nora June Gephardt, known to all as June, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Clair on September 3, 2017, having reached the age of ninety years, eleven months and thirteen days. June was born in St. Clair on September 20, 1926, daughter of Paul Isaiah Wall and Harriet Eva Wall nee Wayne. On October 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Eugene Pascal Gephardt, known to all as Gene, and two children came to bless this union.

June is survived by her children, Eugene P. Gephardt, Jr., known to all as Packy, and wife, Jan, of Westwood, KS and Patricia Pike, known to all as Pat, and husband, Keith, of Lino Lakes, MN; by two grandchildren, Tyrell and Signy Gephardt, both of Westwood; by two brothers, David Wall of Andover, KS and James Wall and wife, Irene, of St. Clair, MO; by two sisters, Joyce Adams of Sullivan, MO and Betty Gilson of Aliquippa, PA; by her dear friends and neighbors, John and Donna Robart of St. Clair; by many nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Harriet Wall; by her husband, Gene Gephardt, Sr.; by one brother, Richard Wall, and by one sister, Mary Buxton.

June was a Christian and lifelong devoted member of the United Methodist Church of St. Clair, MO. She faithfully served on many church committees and was a member of Lamplighters, now known as United Methodist Women, as well as serving as the church council Secretary. For over thirty years June was employed by the St. Clair Public School District as a secretary for the Junior High and was a member of the Public School Employees and Education Retirement System and the Franklin County Public School Retirees. She was also a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, St. Clair Chapter #96. June was an outgoing, active person that loved caring for her home and family. She very patriotic and very proud to be an American. Baking was a favorite hobby, as was walking and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball games. Playing cards, especially Pinochle, was another of her pastimes. June was an avid reader and always stayed abreast of current events. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was happiest when she was spending time with them. The wonderful memories created with her family and friends will give them great joy forever.

A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 9, 2017, at the United Methodist Church of St. Clair with the Rev. John Hampton, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Anaconda Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of St. Clair, MO.
