OBITUARY

Byron Demond Jefferson of St. Clair, MO, joined his Heavenly Father, in St. Louis, MO, on July 28, 2017, having reached the age of thirty-eight years, two months and thirteen days. Byron was born in St. Louis on May 15, 1979, son of Joseph Jefferson, Jr. and Priscilla May Jefferson nee Generally.

Byron is survived by his parents, Joseph, Jr. and Priscilla Jefferson, known to many as May, of St. Clair, MO; by his grandfather, Joseph Jefferson, Sr. of Springfield, MO; by his brother, Jeff L. Jefferson and wife, Janelle, of St. Charles, MO; by his sister, Leslie Forbes of Denver, CO; by aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, nieces, one nephew, cousins, and many friends.

Byron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Esther Jefferson nee Thompkins, Dorothy E. Generally nee Hulsey and John M. Generally.

Byron was a Christian believing in the Lord as his Savior. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Media Communications from Webster University in Webster Groves, MO and was talented at developing media websites. In recent years, he was employed in the restaurant industry in the position of restaurant manager. He was an avid writer, writing short stories as well as books. Byron also had a passion for photography. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephew dearly and cherished the time they spent together. The love shared with his family has created many precious memories that will forever live in their hearts.

A kind and loving son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, great-nephew, uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation was held from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2017, and after 9:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2017, with Pastor Billy Brison officiating, assisted by Pastor Darren Perkins. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens near Union, MO. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Gateway Chapter, 1972 Innerbelt Business Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63114.
