Anna LoRaine Chase, known to all as LoRaine, of St. Clair, MO, joined her Heavenly Father, Washington, MO, on June 24, 2017, having reached the age of sixty-six years, nine months and twenty days. LoRaine was born in Oklahoma City, OK, on September 4, 1950, daughter of James Alfred Suffal and Oleeta Marie Suffal nee Cates. On July 21, 1973, she was united in marriage to William Joe Chase, known to all as Bill, and three children came to bless this union.
LoRaine is survived by her husband, Bill Chase of St. Clair, MO; by her sons, Travis Chase and wife, Brooke, of St. John, MO and Nathan Chase and wife, Ashley, of Washington, MO; by her daughter, Sallie Callahan and husband, Clark, of Castle Pines, CO; by six grandchildren, Lincoln and Autumn Callahan of Castle Pines, William and Beaumont Chase of St. John and Kaleb and Brady Chase of Washington; by two brothers, Timothy Suffal of St. Clair and Mark Suffal and wife, Vickie, of Broken Arrow, OK; by one sister, Marietha Layton and husband, Dennis, of Kirbyville, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
LoRaine was preceded in death by her parents, James and Oleeta Suffal; by one brother, James Suffal, and by three sisters, Dolores McFarland, Paula Suffal and Deborah Hertz.
LoRaine was a Christian and long time member of St. Clair Church of Christ in St. Clair, MO. She grew up in the Branson, MO area and met her husband Bill when she was a junior in high school. During her working career she worked with her husband for twenty years as the office secretary at the State Farm Insurance Agency in St. Clair. She was a very patriotic person with a passion for Americana decor and collected many pieces over the years. She had a passion for purses and loved going to resale shops in search of a handbag she liked. Her family was her life and she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was their Nainy, and they created many wonderful memories together. Each held a very special place in her heart, as she did in their hearts.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great- aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO and from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2017 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Hollister Church of Christ in Hollister, MO. with the funeral services at 10:00 AM with the Rev. David Hamlin officiating. Interment was in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Clair Church of Christ or Hollister Church of Christ.
