Wayne Lee Stahlman of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO, on June 14, 2017, having reached the age of seventy-two years, six months and twenty-seven days. Wayne was born in St. Clair on November 17, 1944, son of Monroe Adolph Stahlman and Elsie Marie Stahlman nee Wagner. On June 16, 1984, he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Hudson and they were blessed to have thirty three years together.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Linda Stahlman of St. Clair, MO; by his mother-in-law, Rena Hudson of St. Louis, MO; by his sister, Jonell Phillips of St. Clair; by two sisters-in-law, Laura Stahlman of St. Clair and Sharon Morris and husband, Roy, of Fulton, MO; by aunts and uncles-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Elsie Stahlman; by his father-in-law, William Hudson, known to all as Gene; by two brothers, Ron Stahlman and Kenneth Stahlman, and by his sibling-in-laws, Gary Hudson, Daniel Phillips and Margie Stahlman.

Wayne was a Christian, believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he was employed at St. Clair Die Casting as a maintenance man, serving the company for over thirty years. His passion was farming and he raised both cattle and hogs. He also baled his own hay and kept busy caring for his land. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed going to yard sales and buying and selling antiques. Deer hunting was a favorite winter hobby and in the summer months he would try his hand at gardening. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. He was a dear husband to his wife and the many precious memories they created will forever live in her heart.

A devoted and loving husband, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 19, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Lindell Vawter officiating. Interment was in Green Mound Cemetery in St. Clair. Memorials may be made to Green Mound Cemetery.
