Gregory Thomas Pruessner, known to most as Greg, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Washington, MO, on June 9, 2017, having reached the age of fifty-one years, nine months and fourteen days. Gregory was born in Washington, MO, on August 25, 1965, son of Delmar William Pruessner and Margie Jane Pruessner nee Williams. As a young man, he was united in marriage and blessed to have two children. In 2007, he began sharing his life with Joyce Pease and one son came to bless this relationship.

Greg is survived by two sons, Gregory S. Pruessner of Robertsville, MO and Garrett Pruessner of St. Clair, MO; by one daughter, Nicole Pruessner and boyfriend, Weston DeClue, of Robertsville, MO; by his parents, Delmar and Margie Pruessner of Union, MO; by his companion, Joyce Pease of St. Clair; by one brother, David Pruessner of St. Louis, MO; by one sister, Kerri Pruessner of Union; by one granddaughter, Abigail Edwards of Villa Ridge, MO; three nieces, Ellie and Ivy Pruessner of St. Louis and Frankie Jane Phelps of Union; by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Greg was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith. He was a jack of all trades and talented at many things. For about eight years, he was employed as a die corrector for Gateway Extrusions in Union, MO. He was an outdoorsman at heart and going boating and fishing were favorite pastimes. Each Spring he enjoyed walking in the woods hunting for Morel mushrooms. Greg had a fondness for music and liked listening to The Grateful Dead band and Blue Grass bands, as well as going to music festivals. His children were his pride and joy and he cherished the time they spent together.

A kind and loving father, son, companion, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Dick Hinson officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to be used for Garrett's schooling.
