Jacqueline Kay Elkins, known to many as Jackie, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Louis, MO, on June 3, 2017, having reached the age of fifty-five years, nine months and twenty-six days. Jackie was born in Washington, MO, on August 7, 1961, daughter of Kenneth Ray Light, Sr. and Saundra Lee Light nee Herndon, known to most as Sandie. As a young woman she was blessed to have one son. Since the fall of 1991 she has been sharing her life with her companion, Jerry Caudle.

Jackie is survived by her companion, Jerry Caudle of St. Clair, MO; by her son, Paul Michael Graham, known to most as Mike, and wife, Courtnee, of Leander, TX; by her mother, Sandie Light of St. Clair; by her sisters, Kimberly York and husband, Roger, of Lonedell, MO, Stephanie York and husband, Adam, of Lonedell and Stacie Light of Columbia, MO; by four grandchildren, Alexander, William, Christopher and Catherine Graham, all of Leander; by aunts, uncles, one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Light, Sr., and by her brother, Kenneth R. Light, Jr.

Jackie was a Christian, having been baptized in the Baptist faith on October 3, 1971. During her working career she was employed as a cashier at grocery stores, as well as convenience stores. Hobbies and interests included doing various crafts such as crocheting and painting. She also enjoyed decorating cakes and cooking, and was known for her great cheese cake and outstanding lasagna. What meant most to her was time spent checking up on and caring for other family members. Her son and grandchildren were her pride and joy and held a very special place in her heart, as she did in their hearts.

A kind and loving companion, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Brother Jim Howard officiating. Interment was in Prospect Cemetery near Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to de Greeff Hospice House of St. Anthony's in St. Louis, MO.
