OBITUARY

Judy Carol Angell of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at her home in St. Clair, on May 15, 2017, having reached the age of fifty-seven, four months and twenty two days. Judy was born in St. Louis, MO, on December 22, 1959, daughter of William Ralph Akers and Ruby Fae Akers nee Haley. As a young woman, Judy was blessed to have one daughter. In later years, she was united in marriage and three children came to bless this union.

Judy is survived by her children, Heather Akers of St. Clair, MO, Benjamin Angell of Owensville, MO, Billie Joesphine Angell of St. Clair and Alan Angell of Gerald, MO; by her mother, Ruby Akers of St. Clair; by one brother, Dan Akers and wife, Kimberly, of St. Clair; by one sister, Rita Diez and husband, Bill, of Union, MO; by nine grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, William Ralph Akers, and by one brother, William Akers.

Judy was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist Faith. During her working years. she was employed as an assembly line worker in the aerosol manufacturing industry. Judy loved spending time outdoors and was passionate about spending time with family and friends at the river. She enjoyed many hobbies and interests during her life, including camping, fishing, swimming and going on float trips. Working in her yard planting and taking care of all her flowers was another of her hobbies. Her favorites were lilies and wild flowers. Her family was her pride and joy and she was happy to be able to care for two of her grandchildren, Dakota and Ethan Akers. During quieter times, she enjoyed doing adult coloring books. Nothing made Judy happier than the time she spent with her family.

A kind and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, great- aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services were held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Jim Watson officiating. A private committal will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Kimberly Akers.
