On July 17, 1965, she was united in marriage to Herschel Lee Whited and they were blessed to have three children.

Pauline is survived by two sons, Herschel Lee Whited Jr., known to many as Junior, and wife, Darlene, of St. Clair, MO and Tony Hanneken of Jacksonville, FL; by four daughters, Catherine Huff and husband, Kenneth J., of St. Clair, Diane Cox Brown and husband, Dale, of Sullivan, MO, Paula Dell of Lonedell, MO, and Pamela Morgan and husband, Patrick, of Glen Burnie, MD; by thirteen grandchildren, Herschel Lee Whited III, known to most as Lee, Crystal Whited, Heather Whited, Andrea Tippett, Michael J. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Lillian Hanneken; by her husband, Herschel L. Whited, Sr.; by one brother, Edward Hanneken; by her son-in-law, Charles Cox, and by one grandchild, Patrick C. Morgan II.

Pauline was a Christian and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. As a young woman, she began her working career at International Shoe Company in St. Clair. In later years, she worked as a cook at the St. Clare Catholic School for about eight years. Her chosen career in life was caring for her home and family and she never tired of that job. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren and she welcomed their friends into her home. She was "Grandma" to all her grandchildren's friends. Going on family camping trips was one of her favorite summer activity. She loved to do embroidery and piece together the quilt blocks she completed. Many of her quilts are now family heirlooms. Going to flea markets was another of her hobbies. Each of Pauline's children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, just as she did in their hearts.

A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, step-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Father Eric Kunz officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the St. Clare Catholic School.
