Donna Jean Smith of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO, on Friday, June 5, 2009, having reached the age of forty-six years, five months and ten days. Donna was born in Waynesville, MO on December 26, 1962, daughter of Walter Eugene Smith and Thela Juanita Smith nee Woods. Donna was blessed to have two daughters.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Brandy Smith-Theus and husband, Bryant, and Jessica Allen all of St. Clair; by two grandchildren, Kylie Thomas and Raiden Dowell both of St. Clair; by three brothers, Curt Keller and wife, Sue, of Rolla, MO, Bill Smith and wife, Norma, of Buckhorn, MO, and Gary “Bo” Smith and wife, Tracy, of Doolittle, MO; by three sisters, Wanda Carter of Waynesville, MO, Regina Kay McDowell and husband, Chester, of Rolla and Opal Cross and husband, Raymond, of Newberg, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Thela Smith; by two brothers, James K. Smith and Bobby Joe Smith, known to many as “Poody”.

Donna was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. She was currently employed at the Washington Wal-Mart in the ladies apparel department and also worked at the Main Street Mini Mart in St. Clair. Donna loved to cook and took pride in caring for her home. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her third grandchild, Jackson.

A kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services were held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with Pastor Dana Lou Woods officiating. A private committal service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
