OBITUARY

Lana Elaine Jones, known to all as Sally, departed this life at her home in Grubville, MO, on May 20, 2016, having reached the age of sixty-three years, six months and three days. Sally was born in Paragould, AR, on November 17, 1952, daughter of Ernest Edward Adams and Nellie Louise Adams nee Scott. On August 6, 1971, she was united in marriage to Joe Ervie Jones and one daughter came to bless this union.

Sally is survived by her husband, Joe Jones of Grubville, MO; by her daughter, Missy Dickinson and husband, John, of Lonedell, MO; by two grandchildren, Jacob and Dalton Dickinson of Lonedell; by her mother-in-law, Nina Vandean Jones Robertson of Paragould, AR; by two brothers, Charles Adams and wife, Barb, of Paragould and Danny Adams of Paragould; by one sister, Sherry Bolinger and husband, Roy, of Grubville; by two sisters-in-law, Diann Quintana of Paragould and Regina Jones of Lake City, AR; by one brother-in-law, Dennis Jones and wife, Marlene, of Paragould; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Nellie Adams; and by one half-sister, June Spetko.

Sally was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working years she was employed as an assembler for Daimler-Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, MO, retiring after ten and a half years. She was also a member and retiree of United Auto Workers Local #136 in St. Louis, MO. She was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed going to the races as well as watching on television. She and Joe spent time working on old cars and going to car shows. Camping with her family was a favorite vacation and many wonderful memories were created on these trips. What meant most to her was time spent with her daughter and grandchildren. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will live in their hearts forever.

A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her

. Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 23, 2016, at Fairview United Church Cemetery in Grubville, MO with the Rev. John Pursley officiating. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice in Washington, MO. The family of Sally Jones entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
